"The Nest " is a virtual rendering of a Reggio Amelia inspired Pre-K learning center at a Children's Museum in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. These concepts were developed as preliminary inspiration for museum staff to bring together collaborative ideas. These conceptional renderings also provided visuals for potential stakeholders.

The Nest

Reggio Emilia is a pedagogy described as constructivist student-centered, which reflects self-directed, experiential learning in relationship-driven environments. The Nest was designed as an additional museum exhibition space with these core values in mind.
Digital photographs were taken of an existing space then brought into Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and virtually manipulated. Mirrored triangular walls, hanging baskets, birds nests, natural wood, light tables, and projectors were created based on Reggio Emelia learning environments.

Concepts were then developed into 3d construction drawings using vectoworks.

The Nest logo was also created as a promotional aspect of this project.
